Caledonia Maple Award Application
The Caledonia County Maple Association is sponsoring a $2,000 award to a deserving graduating high school senior who resides in Caledonia or Essex counties of Vermont.
It is the intent of this award to assist the recipient financially, in purchasing equipment and supplies for the production of maple products, maple training opportunities, textbooks, or materials necessary to prepare for and use in their future involvement in maple production.
If you are involved with the production of maple products and community service activities, you may be eligible to apply.

The application deadline is May 5, 2025 the maple award recipient will be notified by June 1, 2025
Instructions
Please carefully review the instructions below before proceeding to the application form.
Eligibility
Graduating 2025 high school seniors who reside in Caledonia or Essex Counties and who are actively involved in the management and production of maple products.
Criteria
The recipient of this award shall:
a. Demonstrate a high level of interest and involvement in the maple industry.
b. Have evidence of working in a maple production facility within the past two years.
c. Complete 20 hours of Community Service activities.
d. Be an ambassador for the promotion of maple products.
Process
Award participants must fulfill the following requirements:
a. Submit an application.
b. Provide evidence of maple work experiences (such as a letter from a maple employer or sugarhouse manager/owner, or a list of maple experiences).
c. Submit proof of 20 hours of community service.
d. Obtain two letters of recommendation from non-family members.
e. Write a 250-word essay describing what maple means to you and how this award would benefit you (word processed, 12-point font, double-spaced).
